In this raucous and bittersweet comedy, a woman named Carlo guides the audience through her ex-girlfriend’s wedding to a man, and talks to several friends and family about love, life, and how to cope with both.

WHERE: Village Theatre Guild of Glen Ellyn, located at the corner of Park Blvd. and Butterfield Road.
WHAT: This is an “Open Call” audition. No appointment is necessary. This is a non-equity, non-pay production.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Sides will be posted on the VTG Website. All those auditioning are asked to provide a resume of their onstage experience and must produce a list of all potential conflicts including travel. Any conflicts will be discussed with the Producer and agreed to by the Director before casting can be confirmed. Headshots are encouraged.

CARLO – a wedding guest (she/her)
CARLY – a wedding guest (she/her)
ELI – a wedding guest (he/him)
MARIA – mother of the bride (she/her)
LEIGH – a wedding guest (they/them)
EVA – the bride (she/her)
VICTOR – the cater-waiter for the evening (he/him)
PLEASE NOTE: There is a scripted kissing moment for the actors who play the characters who play Carlo and Leigh, as well as romantically charged and flirtatious dialogue between those characters in their two scenes. The actors playing Carlo and Eva share one scene that includes intimate touching (caressing, squeezing) and another scene with close dancing and a hug. The actors who play Carlo and Carly share a comforting embrace. The script contains adult language and content.
