PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE:
Dr. Jim Tennyson: 27, Male – Young, idealistic new physician, former resident of Greenfield Center. Grew up admiring his mentor/ father figure Dr. Cook.
Bea Schmidt: 60+, Female – Dr. Cook’s long time nurse and resident of Greenfield Center. Has known Jim since he was a boy. Knows everyone in the town and their business. Dr. Cook’s right hand nurse taking care of him as well as the town folks.
Dora Ludlow: 50’s up, Female – Dr. Cook’s housekeeper and cook. Also a resident of Greenfield Center. Also has known Jim his whole life. Loves to chat with Bea and Dr. Cook about the residents of the village. She also is very aware of her responsibility to take care of Dr. Cook, the bachelor.
Dr. Leonard Cook: can play 60+, Male – He is the only doctor in the village of Greenfield Center. The town folks describe him as loving, and benevolent. He is ready to make a house call anytime night or day. He is proud of his community as much as he is proud of his prize winning garden. He feels it is his responsibility to tend to the town like he does his garden. He feels that Heaven has rewarded the village with fine, wholesome folk and it appears that Heaven rewards the civic virtue by seeing to it that mostly those who are wicked at heart die – and Dr. Cook is determined it should stay in that fortunate condition.
Elias: 40’s to 50’s, Male – Doc’s long time gardener and newly elected constable for the Village. Friendly, likeable and hard working. Like family with Bea, Dora and Doc.
NOTE: We may be looking for anyone auditioning for Dr Cook or Jim Tennyson to do some improv feigning a medical condition
